Art is an essential part of the human experience. If you think about it, art is everywhere: the clothing we wear, the colours we paint our homes, the light and shadow that defines our world, the way we speak and move.  For some of us the focus on art in our lives takes centre stage, but I would wager anyone could think of examples of how they are impacted and enriched by art.

 

In a general sense I really love experimentation in photography.  It is a medium full of variables that can be selectively controlled, or let to unfold naturally.  There is no end to the techniques and aesthetics that may be explored.  Much of my personal work is influenced by a desire to combine concepts with the sense of unknown that comes with execution via different films, cameras, lighting techniques, shutter speeds, and more.
